Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

Infrared Thermography Testing (IRT) Infrared Thermography is the science of acquisition and analysis of information from non-contact thermal imaging devices.

Thermography makes use of temperature and heat flow measurement as a means to predict or diagnose failure.

By observing the thermal patterns on the surface of objects, the performance and integrity of objects may be evaluated.

The thermographic inspection of an aircraft is used to detect water ingress of honeycomb panels and also to assess the quality and integrity of composite repairs.

Internal defects in some composite structures may also be revealed using thermographic method.

Thermal radiation is always emitted from the surface, but with thermal science knowledge and practical abilities faults beneath the surface may be detected.
